The Siberian Husky Club of Greater Atlanta is a licensed AKC club.  We are actively involved in the community and were the first club to receive the AKC Community Service Award.  The SHCGA also serves as a local source of information for Siberian Husky enthusiasts throughout the Southeast.

Each year we host two Siberian Husky Specialty Dog Shows.  Our 30th and 31st Specialty shows were held on April 17, 2011, in Perry, Georgia.  Learn more by clicking here.

What’s the history of the Siberian Husky?

The Siberian Husky, Samoyed, and Alaskan Malamute are all breeds directly descended from the original “sled dog.”[2] Recent DNA analysis confirms that this is one of the oldest breeds of dog.[3]
